Terms of Use

These terms are the deal between you and Rev. Short version: drive safe, be decent to other members, own what you post, and understand that meets, deals, and wrenching decisions are yours.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Rev iOS application and the revapp.us website (together, the "Service"), operated by Chad Maciel ("Rev," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

01 Eligibility & accounts

02 Driving safety — read this one

Never operate Rev while driving. Do not view, touch, or interact with the app when you are behind the wheel of a moving vehicle, except through lawful, hands-free CarPlay use. Set up cruises, check maps, and post before you drive or while safely parked — or have a passenger do it.

You are solely responsible for operating your vehicle safely and legally at all times. Cruise Mode, maps, ETAs, convoy positions, and any speed readouts are informational only, may be inaccurate or delayed, and are never an instruction to drive in any particular manner. Always obey all traffic laws and speed limits. Rev does not encourage, and expressly disclaims any liability arising from, street racing, speeding, stunt driving, or any unlawful driving activity.

03 Meets, events & cruises

Events and cruises on Rev are organized by users, not by us. We do not host, sponsor, supervise, or vet any meet, venue, route, or attendee. You attend and participate entirely at your own risk, and you are responsible for complying with venue rules and local laws. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for anything that happens at or en route to a user-organized event.

04 Your content

05 Marketplace

The Marketplace connects buyers and sellers directly. Rev is not a party to any transaction. We do not process payments, hold funds, provide escrow, inspect items, verify listings, or guarantee condition, authenticity, title, legality, or fitment of any item. All sales are strictly between the buyer and the seller, as-is. Meet in safe public places, verify parts before paying, and comply with all laws applicable to the sale (including emissions and safety-equipment regulations in your jurisdiction). To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any dispute, loss, or injury arising from Marketplace activity.

06 AI features

Features like the AI Build Assistant generate automated suggestions for entertainment and general information only. They are not professional mechanical, safety, financial, or legal advice, may be inaccurate, and are not a substitute for a qualified mechanic. Modifications you make to any vehicle are entirely your decision and your responsibility, including their effect on safety, reliability, warranty, insurance, and legal compliance.

07 Rev+ subscriptions

Rev+ is an optional auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple Account at the price shown before purchase. It renews automatically until cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel in your device Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Free-trial eligibility is determined by Apple. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; refund requests are handled by Apple. We may change Rev+ features or pricing prospectively with notice.

08 Acceptable use

Do not: use the Service to break the law; harass, stalk, or track other members; scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service; circumvent access controls, rate limits, or feature gates; impersonate others; or use the Service to send spam. We may suspend or terminate accounts engaged in any of the above.

09 Our property

The Service — including the Rev name, logo, design, software, and generative artwork system — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, per the App Store terms. Apple's Licensed Application EULA applies to the app download itself; these Terms control your use of the Service.

10 Third-party services

The Service uses third-party services (including Apple Maps, weather data, push notifications, and sign-in providers). Their availability and accuracy are not guaranteed, and their own terms may apply to your use of them.

11 Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY CONTENT (INCLUDING LOCATIONS, EVENT DETAILS, LISTINGS, AND AI OUTPUT) IS ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

12 Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, VEHICLES, OR PROPERTY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE — INCLUDING DRIVING, EVENTS, MARKETPLACE TRANSACTIONS, AND USER CONTENT — EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50) OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US THROUGH THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13 Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your driving or event attendance, or your Marketplace transactions.

14 Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Any claim must be filed within one (1) year after it arises, to the extent permitted by law. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.

15 Changes & contact

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves; material changes will be reflected by the effective date above and, where appropriate, notice in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept them. Questions: rev@revapp.us.
